Some might wonder why I would be nicknamed “Super Coach” here at BusinessCoach.com and I wouldn’t blame you for that. My employees say it is because of my undying passion to make a difference for people by creating winning people and winning teams. My life goal is to facilitate transformation throughout the world. The amazing thing is business coaching is the avenue I choose to use to inspire others to have their dreams fulfilled. I love it when a client comes to me and says not only have we transformed our organization, but I have a family that I have fallen back in love with and I feel like a different person looking through different lenses.

There’s nothing like walking into an organization and hearing a cheerful greeting from every employee I pass in the hallway “Hi Coach Gary”. It’s a glorious day when I know that I have earned that level of respect and then I know THEY GOT IT. They know my word is gold and when I say I am 100% committed to theirs dreams I am being completely authentic.

After a long entrepreneurial journey of owning businesses and a difficult, but successful ten year career in real estate, I realized there was something missing in my life. I realized my ego had gotten too big and my heart had gotten too small. The truth is although I had reached most of my financial goals by the age of 30 I was not happy. I was determined I didn’t want to deal with piranhas and I was due for a change.

Thank the Lord for this great man, Jim Selman that said the words “Business Coach” back in 1989 when no one recognized the term including me. But the words rang in my ear like no other. I was so inspired by this great industry and getting involved with an industry that really truly made a difference for people. This was a path I could be proud of. I also realized, however inauthentic I was at the time, that this work was a way that I could also transform my own life and commit to staying on a path that would keep me fulfilled and honest. Integrity, commitment and accountability come at all new levels. But, mastering these distinctions made and makes all the difference.

After 18 years of providing business coaching to literally hundreds of organizations and every industry imaginable I believe I can say without a doubt that I am an expert on human performance, sales, cultural design, customer service, strategic planning and leadership. I cannot imagine that an issue I have never faced would show up. This is no longer the ego talking it’s just what’s so. But the stories and the faces are different and the level of the challenge is always an exciting venture that I am thoroughly excited to commit to. Any leader who is to the point of throwing his or hands up and can say “please help me I don’t know how to get beyond this point”, I am there. I love removing those barriers and seeing new found freedom on people’s faces. It’s what I live for.

About five years ago my personal goal to transform the world really took hold and I realized the only way to make that happen was through sharing our methodology and so I began developing, what some have declared, as the leading training model for business coaches.

I have facilitated over 5000 meetings and retreats and have spoken at over 200 events on topics such as: Business Coaching, High Impact Leadership, Building a Powerful Team, Holding Employees Accountable, Business Planning Made Easy, Excellence in Customer Service, Managing Effective Meetings and Training a Successful Sales Team.

My articles on leadership have been published in the Sacramento Bee, Business Journals and Managing Success Magazine.
